Meet Jennifer Winestorfer ISSA Master Trainer, Newport Beach CA
Hi, I’m Jennifer Winestorfer a 48 year young mother of two, living and thriving in beautiful Newport Beach, CA.
Jennifer Winestorfer is an ISSA Master Trainer, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutritionist and Health Coach specializing in strength training, body composition, healthy aging and sustainable fitness for women ages 35–65. Based in Newport Beach, Jennifer provides personalized in-person coaching throughout Orange County as well as online coaching nationwide.
My journey has been anything but linear. I’ve faced injuries, surgeries, hormonal changes, and life’s inevitable ups and downs all of which have shaped me into the strong, resilient woman I am today. Through it all, I’ve learned to embrace every part of me flaws and all. My passion is helping other women do the same: to discover their true selves through self love and fitness.
I recently relocated from Seattle after reconnecting with my college sweetheart more than 20 years later. Love brought me to California, and I couldn’t be happier to call this place home. With its year round sunshine, warm weather, and endless opportunities for outdoor adventures like water sports, hiking, and swimming, I’ve embraced a lifestyle that fuels my passion for movement, health, and personal growth.
A Lifetime of Fitness & Competition
Fitness has been my foundation since childhood, beginning as a competitive gymnast at just six years old. Over the years, I’ve evolved into an endurance athlete, completing multiple marathons and triathlons including competing at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI. At age 46, I took on an entirely new challenge: competing in my first fitness competition. Now, I’m working towards earning my IFBB Pro Card in the Masters Women’s Division proof that it’s never too late to chase your goals.
Jennifer specializes in personalized fitness and health coaching for women and active adults, with programs designed around individual goals, experience, lifestyle, and stage of life.

My Mission
To empower women to reclaim their strength, confidence, and vitality through a holistic approach to fitness and wellness. I believe every woman deserves to feel strong, capable, and confident in her own body, regardless of her age, fitness level, or past experiences.
Why I Do What I Do
I’ve been where you are. I know what it feels like to feel disconnected from your body, to struggle with confidence, and to feel like you’ve lost yourself in the chaos of daily life. But I also know what it feels like on the other side the incredible strength, confidence, and joy that comes from taking care of yourself.
My approach isn’t about quick fixes or extreme transformations. It’s about sustainable change, self compassion, and building a life you love from the inside out. Because when you take care of yourself, you show up better for everyone else in your life too.

Who does Jennifer work with?
Jennifer primarily works with women ages 35–65 and active adults with different goals, backgrounds, and fitness experience. Each program is personalized around the client’s current ability, lifestyle, schedule, health considerations, and stage of life rather than using the same routine for everyone.
What fitness and wellness services does JenCalling offer?
JenCalling offers personal and strength training, weight-loss and body-composition coaching, nutrition coaching, cardio and endurance programming, PNF assisted stretching, exercise recovery, sports conditioning, senior fitness, active-aging programs, online and hybrid coaching, and corporate wellness services. The appropriate combination depends on each client’s needs and goals.
How can Jennifer help with strength, body composition, and sustainable weight loss?
Jennifer develops individualized programs that may combine progressive strength training, appropriate cardiovascular conditioning, nutrition habits, recovery, and ongoing accountability. Programs evolve as the client progresses and are designed to support lasting improvements rather than relying on extreme workouts, restrictive diets, or quick fixes.
Does Jennifer provide nutrition coaching?
Yes. As an ISSA Certified Nutritionist and Health Coach, Jennifer helps clients develop sustainable eating habits that support their energy, training, body-composition, and lifestyle goals. Nutrition coaching may address meal structure, food choices, consistency, and practical strategies, but it does not replace medical nutrition therapy or treatment from a licensed healthcare provider.
Can Jennifer help with mobility, recovery, healthy aging, or sports performance?
Yes. Jennifer’s background includes PNF assisted stretching, exercise recovery, strength and conditioning, sports conditioning, senior fitness, and active-aging coaching. Programs can be adapted to a client’s mobility, recovery needs, current fitness level, and performance goals while respecting any restrictions provided by the client’s healthcare team.
Does Jennifer offer both in-person and online coaching?
Yes. Jennifer provides in-person coaching in Newport Beach and surrounding Orange County communities, with available home, studio, and other agreed-upon training arrangements. She also provides online coaching nationwide for clients who want personalized programming, accountability, check-ins, and remote support.
What makes Jennifer’s coaching approach different?
Jennifer integrates strength, conditioning, nutrition, recovery, lifestyle habits, and personal accountability into one individualized plan. Her approach emphasizes sustainable change, confidence, self-compassion, and helping clients build a practical relationship with fitness instead of chasing perfection or short-term extremes.
Does Jennifer’s coaching replace medical care or physical therapy?
No. Jennifer provides fitness, nutrition, and health coaching within her professional scope and does not diagnose injuries, treat medical conditions, or provide physical therapy. Clients recovering from an injury or surgery, or those with medical restrictions, should obtain appropriate clearance and follow the instructions of their physician, physical therapist, or other healthcare professional.
Can Jennifer help me stay fit during perimenopause or menopause?
Yes. Jennifer Winestorfer provides personalized fitness and lifestyle coaching for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and other midlife changes. Depending on your goals, current fitness level, symptoms, and medical guidance, your program may include progressive strength training, appropriate cardiovascular exercise, mobility work, recovery strategies, and sustainable nutrition habits. The goal is to support muscle, bone health, body composition, energy, confidence, and long-term function. Jennifer does not diagnose or treat menopause or provide hormone therapy.
Why is strength training important during perimenopause and menopause?
Strength training can help women maintain or build muscle, support bone health, improve balance, and remain capable in everyday life. Jennifer personalizes exercise selection, resistance, training volume, and recovery according to your experience, goals, schedule, and health considerations. You do not need to begin with heavy weights or an advanced fitness background.
Does Jennifer provide nutrition coaching for women in midlife?
Yes. As an ISSA Certified Nutritionist and Health Coach, Jennifer helps clients develop realistic habits involving meal structure, protein, hydration, food choices, and consistency. Nutrition coaching can support fitness, recovery, body-composition, and healthy-aging goals. Jennifer does not prescribe medication, provide hormone treatment, diagnose nutritional deficiencies, or replace medical nutrition therapy from a qualified healthcare professional.
Can Jennifer work with women who have arthritis or joint discomfort?
Often, yes. With appropriate medical guidance, Jennifer can modify exercise selection, range of motion, resistance, impact, positioning, and training volume to create a more joint-friendly program. The objective is to help you build strength and remain active without ignoring pain or exceeding your established restrictions. Jennifer does not diagnose or treat arthritis. New, severe, or worsening symptoms should be evaluated by a physician or physical therapist.
Can Jennifer help someone with osteopenia or osteoporosis?
With clearance from your healthcare provider and a clear understanding of any restrictions, Jennifer can design a program that incorporates appropriate resistance training, weight-bearing activity, balance work, and gradual progression. Because fracture risk and appropriate movements vary from person to person, some exercises or levels of impact may not be suitable. Jennifer follows the precautions established by your physician or physical therapist and does not diagnose or treat bone disease.
Can Jennifer train me around an injury or after surgery?
Training may be possible once your physician, surgeon, or physical therapist has cleared you for exercise. Jennifer can modify range of motion, loading, exercise selection, positioning, and progression to remain within the restrictions you have been given. She does not diagnose injuries, provide physical therapy, override post-operative precautions, or use exercise to determine the cause of pain.
Can strength and conditioning help reduce injury risk?
No exercise program can guarantee that an injury will never occur. Thoughtful coaching may help reduce risk by improving strength, balance, movement control, exercise technique, workload progression, and recovery habits. Jennifer builds programs gradually and adjusts them when an exercise causes pain or does not suit a client’s ability or medical guidance.
Can Jennifer help with balance, mobility, and healthy aging?
Yes. Jennifer works with women and active adults who want to maintain strength, mobility, balance, confidence, and independence as they age. Programs can be adapted to your starting point and may combine resistance training, balance exercises, appropriate conditioning, and mobility work. Clients with a history of falls, significant balance problems, or medical restrictions should obtain guidance from their healthcare provider before beginning.
You’re not starting over. You’re building strength from everything that brought you here.
